Face Lace Create Goddess Styles for Mariana Jungmann Over LFW

MLPR’s client Face Lace graced the cover of The Times following their collaboration with Brazilian fashion designer Mariana Jungmann for her SS15 London Fashion Week show on 12th September 2014. Inspired by the Queen of the Ocean Yemanja and Mariana’s intricate lace designs, Face Lace created eye-catching pearlescent and holographic silver foil placed on the models’ forehead, cheekbones and palms of hands

“This collaboration has been an exciting moment for Face Lace, leading to our first foray into pearlescent foil and inspiring some new and exciting designs for the SS15 collection. I was so excited to collaborate with someone who has such a similar aesthetic and appreciation of decorative design” commented Phyllis Cohen.

The collaboration proved sleek and seamless, offering a spectacle filled with the magical underwater world inspired by Yemanja, queen of the ocean. The show started with the sounds of the sea which instantly transported watchers into an enchanting paradise filled with the calming noises of waves lapping against the cliffs. This really helped the audience to feel the strong presence of Yemanja.

Face Lace used Mariana’s intricate lace designs as her inspiration and recreated these into finely cut lace segments in pearlescent and holographic silver foil to place on the forehead, cheekbones and palms of hands. The brand looked to divine sea sirens from the future as their muse for the show.

“Our pairing with Face Lace felt like a gift from Yemanja. Phyllis was able to translate our exclusive lace patterns into her beautiful designs which adorned our models and transformed them into goddesses” commented fashion designer Mariana Jungmann.
