Cheet London
Cheet London is an independent boutique label with a rapidly growing reputation. A watch word for style mavens and handbag aficionados alike, designer, Emily Cheetham's bags and accessories fuse contemporary design with classic undertones to create truly beautiful, timeless pieces.
After studying Italian and Art, Emily's career include a stint at BBC Radio and working as a PR before setting up her label in 2003. Craving a career in the creative arts, Emily started with one bag, crafted on her battered Singer sewing machine, and began throwing handbag parties to get the product out there into the market place. Within six months her impulsiveness had paid off as the part time hobby became a full time career.
With her devotion to skilled craftsmanship and vintage designs, coupled with an attainable price tag, it's hardly surprising that the fashion kids have taken her to their heards. She was lauded 'A hot new name in bag design' by Vogue.com as well as being named Best Accessories Designer by the London Fashion Forum. She has created limited edition bags for Hobbs and a men's diffusion range for Designers for Debenhams.
Recently, Emily has gained an official seal of approval from the industry's toughest critics, having scored a second nomination at the 4th Annual Independent Handbag Designer Awards this year. Cheet made it down to the final five in the category for of Best Handbag Design.
MLPR started work with Emily in March 2010, with an official appointed in June 2010. This September will see the launch of a new website.
